DACA Renewal Converted To Initial

On May 9, 2026, we mailed you a notice to inform you that your Form I-821D, Consideration of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, has been converted from a renewal request to an initial request. Accordingly, your case has been transferred from the Nebraska Service Center to the California Service Center. Any Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) request that is received by USCIS more than one year after the requestor’s last grant of DACA expired or any time after their most recent DACA grant was terminated, is considered an initial request, not a renewal.
