Practice for your citizenship civics test
The official USCIS questions, in English as the officer will ask them. Listen, answer in your own words and I will tell you whether the officer would accept it, and why. Free.
When did you file (or will you file) Form N-400?
How the civics test works
- It is oral, in English, during your naturalization interview. The officer reads the question and you answer.
- 2025 test (Form N-400 filed on or after Oct. 20, 2025): 128 questions, up to 20 asked, 12 correct to pass.
- 2008 test (filed before Oct. 20, 2025): 100 questions, up to 10 asked, 6 correct to pass.
- 65/20: if you are 65 or older with 20+ years as a resident, you study 20 marked questions, are asked 10, need 6, and may use your language.
- Some answers change with elections (President, senators, governor…): answer with whoever serves on the day of your interview.
Questions and answers: USCIS (study materials, test updates). Senators and representatives: senate.gov and house.gov; governors: usa.gov. The Spanish text is a study translation by GreenBro; the test is in English. This is practice, not the official test, and not legal advice.
